Pictures say it all...he's very loved!
My labor was quick and easy...as easy as labor can go I guess. I had an appointment on Monday afternoon. I was dilated to almost a 2...ugh! I was pretty sure I had passed my due date. I was still pretty certain that I was due closer to Oct 27th than Nov 11th. So I was feeling quite ready to have a baby. He decided to start cervical ripening that night and then induce my the next day. So I was admitted to the hospital that night after which I was finally given cytotec with the assurance that I might have a little cramping, but I would be able to get a good nights sleep. After being up until after midnight with admission stuff, I was able to get some peace. I couldn't get comfortable, wonderful labor beds, but finally feel asleep around 1 or 1:30. I woke up at 2:30, used the bathroom, and then realized I was not going to be able to sleep through the contractions I was having. Needless to say, I woke Brian up, went for a walk and returned back to my room in full blown labor. The doctor came in around 5 am and broke my water. Around 5:20 I told him it was almost time. I'm not sure he actually believed me as he took his sweet time about getting his baby cart ready. At his rate it would have taken at least 15 minutes. My babies come fast, it's just my track record. Isaac was delivered with nurses and the doctor walks in the room in time to see a baby on the bed. This one was almost a copycat as the head came out without the doctor even having gloves on yet and he was in the room. I didn't feel too bad since I had given him a 5 minute warning, plus he knew my track record. The rest of the morning was chaos. The nurse hadn't prepared for a delivery since she thought I wouldn't deliver until that afternoon or evening. And I was right, he looked like he was at least a week overdue. Darn baby was just taking his sweet time about things! I'm so grateful the delivery went well and that we have a healthy boy to add to our family. And despite wanting a sister, Olivia is completely in love with him!
You are my hero! Seriously! 5 kids. Wow. I truly hope to someday have the courage to have 5 kids. I'm so glad he is here safe and sound. He's beautiful...as is your whole family. Congrats!
