Never say Never!

As I get older (and hopefully wiser), I have realized many things.  Today, I have realized the old saying is true - NEVER SAY NEVER.  There have been many times in my life that I have said "I will never (insert anything)."  Except, a few years later I'm doing that very thing I said I would never do.  For instance, I recall telling a friend a few years ago while Brian was riding the Tour de Tucson, "I will never ride 109 miles.  That's just way too much and absolutely crazy."  Well, as many know, last November I finished the Tour de Tucson 109 mile bike event under 10 hours, 14 weeks pregnant.  Crazy?...probably, exhilarating?...absolutely!  Or how about this one.  "I will never date him."  Yes, I was referring to the man I married!

Now as I think upon this, I laugh at myself as I begin a new ambition in life - homeschooling.  I have said more than once, "I will never homeschool."  Circumstance change, people change, I change, and I realize that it's not just a saying but a fact, you should never say never.  From now on..."I don't think I will ever (insert anything)."

  1. You can totally do it and I'm surprised at how many are pulling their kids out of elem. school and home school them and then is middle school or High putting them back in. Curious to see how it goes! I'm behind you, not literally but you know.

  2. Wow, that's quite an undertaking. But you know you have to do what's best for your family. Good luck! There's so much support out there for homeschooling mamas. You can do it!

And I've learned the hard way to never say never too. :)

  3. Wow! What an amazing adventure. That is also something that I never thought I would do but is looking more and more tempting all the time. You are totally right...never say never! Life is just easier when you are open-minded and better equipped for change.
